The Lead actress of the latest Bollywood hit – Manikarnika, Kangana Ranaut is ready to flaunt her success. Besides the good news with the movie, our Bollywood Rani is not so happy with other celebrities.
As seen for the most audience activation for the movie URI, which set the box office on fire, was not the same for Manikarnika.
This confused Kangana as to why aren’t any celebs of the B town not coming to any of her movies screenings. In her interview with Pinkvilla, she took slashes of insults at celebs including Alia Bhatt and Aamir Khan.
With calling the celebrities as double standard, she also said she feels that she has always been ignored.
As the actress mentions, “After Tanu Weds Manu also I have had so many trials. They would just not come. But when it comes to them they call me, being shameless by far. I would make sure I attend them, even if I had to cancel my shoots. I don’t think I need to that attention anymore because its getting too much.”
Kangana also reveals, “These girls send me their trailers like Alia Bhatt sending for Raazi saying ‘Please Watch It’. For me it was a movie on Sehmat who gave her everything for her country, rather than a Karan Johar film.
Kangana calls Alia and other celebs ‘Petty’. Further she said, “How do these people become so petty? Why do they consider a film to be for an individual, ‘Arre yaar, iska na kuch ho jaye, main chup baithta hoon!’ How do they fdo that? How does it even work? This film was a revelation for me, of what Rani LaxmiBai has done for Hindustan. Was this freedom only for me? Doesn’t it belong to everybody else?”
Besides the others, “When Aamir called me for Dangal, Secret Superstar, I went all the way to Ambani’s. For me it was a film about women empowerment. But I don’t think they have time for any of my trials. With two-three films coming up, I don’t expect anyone to write about them.
After calling them double standard, she said, “There is not response from anyone. This is a very strange sort of a racket. I don’t know what are they threatened by.”
